Congratulations and Welcome to your new home!
With rising energy costs in mind, only the highest quality heating and cooling products have been installed in your new home. Your new 95%+ efficient Bryant furnace employs two heat exchangers to “squeeze” out the maximum amount of heat from the fuel consumed. Your new ductwork system is custom made in our own local shop and is designed to deliver quiet comfort to every room in your house.
High Efficiency Furnace
With only minimal care, your new furnace will deliver many years of money saving comfort and enjoyment. The most important maintenance for the furnace is the air filter located at the bottom right or left side of your furnace. This filter is disposable and should be replaced every 4 to 6 weeks during use. Please refer to your user information manual for further information.
Heat Recovery Ventilator
As a byproduct of living in a superior home, excess moisture and air pollution can accumulate. A Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) is required to expel these contaminants from your home.
Your new HRV is controlled from a main dehumidistat, located beside your furnace thermostat, and from the digital wall controls in your bathroom(s) and kitchen. The wall controls operate the HRV for 20 minutes to allow for intermittent increases in moisture and pollution. The dehumidistat should be set to the appropriate level of humidity required for your home relative to outside temperature as shown in the following chart.
Note–HRV will only reduce humidity levels inside the home when the outdoor air has less humidity in it than the indoor air (winter).
HUMIDITY SETTING OUTDOOR TEMP.C

35% -10
45% 0
For a more general rule of thumb, you should try to keep 1/4" of moisture on the glass at the bottom of your windows without it pooling onto the window frame.
Your HRV has two slide out permanent air filters that should be washed in warm soapy water twice a year. Care should be taken to ensure that the outside hoods for the HRV are kept clean and free of obstruction.
